An Iconic wine tour experience with Vosne Tasting Club

At Vosne Tasting Club, we cherish our role of providing unique wine tasting experiences by presenting a selection of wines from over 200 of the top wineries in Burgundy at our tasting club in the village of Vosne-Romanée. In Burgundy you’ll find that most wineries are closed to the public, although some do exist and welcome visitors in the major wine villages such as Beaune or Nuits Saint Georges.

As well as providing a selection of wine tasting experiences at our Club, we can also provide “Iconic” wine tour experiences, which allows you to visit some of these famous estates. Organizing this type of tour is not easy as it requires the winery owners to be available (i.e. not working in the vineyards) and for them to have wines open to taste. If you think it’s easy just to walk up to a winery, knock on the door and be welcomed with a bottle of delicious wine and a smile from the winemaker, you can try, but in Burgundy, in general, it just doesn’t happen!

All our “iconic” tours are customized to our client’s wishes. Certain visits may not be possible to organize for a number of reasons, but when we can do it, it generally turns out to be an exceptional day.

Recently we took two of our clients on one of these “iconic tours”. The tour consisted of a tasting at Maison Albert Bichot in Beaune with the current CEO, Alberic Bichot and Jean-David Camus (this also included a barrel tasting of the wines purchased by the Maison Albert Bichot at the Hospices de Beaune wine auction). Lunch followed at our Club in Vosne-Romanée with a tasting of chardonnays from Meursault and Puligny Montrachet. At the end of the afternoon, they were welcomed by Thibault Liger-Belair and his enologist Anne-Sophie Bigot for an exceptional barrel and bottle tasting. We’d like to thank them for welcoming our clients. and ensuring a unique experience.
